Terms of Service
Effective date: August 7, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Debt Defender, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What Debt Defender is
Debt Defender is a record-keeping and document preparation tool for consumers dealing with debt collection. It helps you track debts, document collector conduct, prepare dispute letters, and understand the consumer protection laws that may apply to you.
3. Not legal advice
Debt Defender provides general legal information, not legal advice. Nothing in the service, including letters produced by the Letter Drafter, is a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney who knows the facts of your situation.
Use of Debt Defender does not create an attorney-client relationship. Debt Defender is not a law firm and does not practice law.
Laws change and courts interpret them differently across jurisdictions. Statute citations and summaries in the service may not reflect the most recent amendments or the law of your jurisdiction.
4. AI-generated content
Parts of the service use artificial intelligence to analyze the records you enter and to draft documents. AI output can be incomplete or wrong.
You are responsible for reviewing every AI-generated analysis and letter before relying on it or sending it. Do not send a letter you have not read and verified.
5. Your account and your records
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your login credentials secure.
You retain ownership of the records you create. You grant Debt Defender the limited rights needed to store and process those records in order to operate the service.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to harass any person, to submit information you know to be false, to interfere with the operation of the service, or to attempt to access records that are not yours.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Debt Defender and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on information or documents produced by the service. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time, and you may permanently delete every record you have entered from the Settings page. Your sign-in account is held by our authentication provider; contact us and we will delete it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated terms with a new effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent to the operator of this service through the contact information provided in the application.
